A skin rash is when the skin color changes in a certain part of the body or of the entire body and becomes red, itchy, and bumpy, cracked, blistered or may swell and be quite painful. There are several reasons for one getting skin rash which can be stress and anxiety, infection and allergies. The type of skin rash differs and may last for a short period of time or may last for days. If a rash does not go away on its own in a few days or becomes painful, pus filled, color changing or blood filled then one needs medical attention. If one has had a similar rash before and it has reappeared then the diagnosis and the medication is also going to be the same. Some skin rashes go away and lie dormant and then decide to reappear like acne, hives, and eczema. These skin rashes are never completely cured and resurface. Similarly if one has an allergic breakout the chances are that it can happen again. Allergies and skin rashes go hand in hand as any internal or external allergic reaction is bound to show on the skin. Skin rashes do not have any time bar and can appear at any time and on any part of the skin. Children skin rashes can be because of a number of reasons starting from diaper rash to insect bites and similarly adult rash skin can also be caused due to various reasons.

There are plenty of pictures of skin rashes on the internet and if one skin rash picture resembles the skin rash that one has then it is probably the same skin rash. Diagnosis of a skin rash should not be done just by looking at pictures of skin rashes as one should remember that is a picture and does not tell one's skin type. Skin rash diagnosis must be done by someone who is qualified to do it and not on one's own. HIV skin rashes are a totally different scenario and require special treatment.

Pets can also get skin rash and canine skin rashes are quite common among dogs and require vet's treatment. If one has a rash or one's pet has a rash one should go for immediate treatment.
